Study Skills

Preparing for the future requires much more than successful completion of school assignments. It calls for development of effective study skills, which establish a strong foundation for future learning and success. Those skills are not usually taught at school, yet they are essential to making the learning process effective.

Our approach incorporates creation of the right learning habits every step of the way. During the course of instruction, students will get the practical knowledge of how-to:

  • Prioritize and manage time
  • Plan ahead for projects, tests and exams
  • Tackle the challenging homework tasks
  • Develop note-taking skills
  • Master test-taking strategies
  • Analyze and organize key information
  • Use the mind and memory potential most effectively

The focus on brain processes will lead to development of logical reasoning, critical thinking and problem solving skills.

We recognize that every student has his or her own way of learning. Our testing and observation will identify the individual learning style and help your child grasp, process and retain information more effectively.
